Video of 2 youths performing stunts on Mumbai local goes viral, leads to arrest
Two youngsters were arrested on Thursday for performing dangerous stunts onboard a Mumbai local.
The arrest was made after a video of the duo’s act started doing rounds of social media and WhatsApp.
In the video, one of the youngsters can be seen climbing out of the compartment, sliding on the pole and hanging precariously on a local between Chembur and Wadala stations.
After the video was brought to the notice of Government Railway Police (GRP), a team was mobilised to nab the stuntmen.
The two youths, identified as Mohammad Mohsin (seen in the video) and Sagir Ahmed, were later arrested and booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) by Wadala Police Station.
In a similar incident, a group of 5-6 youngsters was caught performing similar stunts onboard a Kurla-bound local in June. The boys had boarded the train from Mankhurd station and a video of their act was captured by an alert commuter, who shared it with cops.
Based on the video, a team from Kurla Railway Protection Force (PRF) sprung into action and caught two persons from the group. The two youths were given counselling and handed over to their parents.
