2 senior citizens murdered at their Kalyan residence
On Sunday, two senior citizens were found lying dead in a pool of blood at their Kalyan residence.
The victims, Kamlabai (70) and Leelabai (60), were residents of Dudhakar Niwas at Khadegowali in Kalyan. They had suffered severe wounds on their head with a blunt weapon.
After they failed to answer the door for a long time, their relative got suspicious and informed Kolshewadi police. When cops entered the house, the found the victims’ bodies. The entire house was turned upside down with their belonging scattered across the room.
Since there was no sign of forced entry, cops suspect that the senior citizens knew the culprit. Moreover, they also suspect that the murder scene was altered to make it look like an attempted robbery.
Kolshewadi police has registered an FIR against the unidentified accused under Section 302 (murder) and 450 (house trespass in order to commit an offence) of the IPC. Meanwhile, fingerprint samples collected from the house have been sent for analysis and investigation is underway.
