On-duty traffic constable assaulted by drunk men at Shivaji Park

1. On Tuesday, a traffic constable was brutally assaulted by three drunk men at Shivaji Park in Dadar.

2. According to sources, the accused had entered into an altercation with a local taxi driver at Shivaji Park.

3. Upon spotting the ruckus, the on-duty traffic constable tried to intervene and resolve the matter. But the accused, who were allegedly in an inebriated state, ended up brutally assaulting the traffic cop.

4. The injured cop was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital by a passerby. Although he sustained minor injuries on his body, the severe cut right above his left eye required six stitches.

5. Police are currently on the lookout for the three accused.
