The office of the Deputy Director of Education (DyDE) declared the second general merit list for First Year Junior College (FYJC) 2018 applicants on its admission portal at 11 am on Thursday, July 19.
A revised timetable, after taking into account the three day delay for declaring the second general merit list in compliance with the order by the Nagpur bench of Bombay High Court, was also announced.
Checking Merit List
The second merit list was declared two weeks after the first list and is among the four that will be released for admissions under this year’s centralised admission process (CAP).
In order to check the college allotted in the second round, applicants need to:
# Visit the admission portal – mumbai.11thadmission.net
# Click on the link ‘Centralised Allocation Round 2’ (rolling button under the main image).
# Enter 6 digit application form number.
# Hit ‘search’ button.
The next page will show the college allotted in the first round, along with the other details like college address, college preference number, category, marks, selected stream and merit number.
Revised Timetable Out
In light of the recent order by the Bombay High Court’s Nagpur bench, the department also issued another revised schedule/timetable for FYJC applicants.
Per the latest schedule, students happy with the college allotted in the second round can confirm admissions by visiting the college and paying the requisite fee by 5 pm on July 21.
Those who are not satisfied with the college allotted in the second round can apply for a seat in the third round.
To apply for a seat in the third round, applicants need to visit the admission portal, login to their account from ‘Student Login’ link and edit the list of preferred colleges for Round 3.
July 21 (5 pm): Deadline for confirming admission under Round 2
July 23 (11 am): Declaration of Round 2 cut-off and vacancy lists
July 24 (6 pm): Deadline for filling admission form for Round 3 (students can edit option form)
July 26 (11 am): Declaration of third general merit list
Note: Students who canceled their admissions in bifocal/centralised rounds or wish to change their stream will be considered directly after the third round.
The declaration of the second list was delayed by three days after the Nagpur bench of Bombay High Court ordered the state to continue allotment of general category students to non-minority institutes and return minority seats back to respective colleges.
As a result students who have applied in the centralised round but also want to apply under quota, now have the option to do so.View Realtime Updates
