In light of the recent order by the Bombay High Court’s Nagpur bench, the office of the Deputy Director of Education (DyDE) has issued a revised schedule/timetable for the First Year Junior College (FYJC) admissions for the academic year 2018-19.
The revised schedule is applicable for all divisions. It was uploaded to the respective admissions portals on Thursday morning.
According to the earlier schedule, the second merit list was to be declared on July 16 and applicants had time till July 19 to confirm admissions under the second round.
However, per the latest schedule, the merit list will be declared today, July 19 and students will have time till July 21 to confirm admissions under Round 2.
The declaration of the second list was delayed by three days after the Nagpur bench of Bombay High Court ordered the state to continue allotment of general category students to non-minority institutes and return minority seats back to respective colleges.
This was the second time the admission timetable has been revised. Prior to this, a revised schedule was declared after State Education Minister Vinod Tawde extended the date for confirming admission under the first round for Mumbai and Nagpur divisions by two days amid heavy rainfall.
