In light of the recent order by the Bombay High Court’s Nagpur bench, the office of the Deputy Director of Education (DyDE) has issued a revised schedule/timetable for the First Year Junior College (FYJC) admissions for the academic year 2018-19.

The revised schedule is applicable for all divisions. It was uploaded to the respective admissions portals on Thursday morning.

According to the earlier schedule, the second merit list was to be declared on July 16 and applicants had time till July 19 to confirm admissions under the second round.

However, per the latest schedule, the merit list will be declared today, July 19 and students will have time till July 21 to confirm admissions under Round 2.

The declaration of the second list was delayed by three days after the Nagpur bench of Bombay High Court ordered the state to continue allotment of general category students to non-minority institutes and return minority seats back to respective colleges.

This was the second time the admission timetable has been revised. Prior to this, a revised schedule was declared after State Education Minister Vinod Tawde extended the date for confirming admission under the first round for Mumbai and Nagpur divisions by two days amid heavy rainfall.

Publishing Round 2 vacancy & cut-off list July 23, 2018 (11 am)
Deadline for filling form for Round 3 July 23-24, 2018 (till 6 pm)
Declaration of third merit list July 26, 2018 (11 am)
Deadline for confirming admission under Round 3 July 26-28, 2018 (till 5 pm)
Publishing Round 3 vacancy & cut-off list July 30, 2018 (11 am)
Deadline for filling form for Round 4 July 30-31, 2018 (till 6 pm)
Declaration of fourth merit list August 2, 2018 (11 am)
Deadline for confirming admission under Round 4 August 2-4, 2018 (till 5 pm)
Collecting applications from desirous student’s for admission to Bifocal subjects and admitting students as per reservation/merit August 6-9, 2018

Notes:

1. After completing 70 percent of admissions, higher secondary/junior College are permitted to start their regular classes for the 11th standard.

2. Junior Colleges shall ensure to complete the syllabus for students who are admitted after the commencement of colleges by conducting extra lectures/practicals.
