FYJC 2018 – Round 3: Vacancy list out, form filling begins
The office of the Deputy Director of Education (DyDE) has released the vacancy list for colleges in Mumbai Metropolitan Region for round 3 of First Year Junior College (FYJC) admissions for the year 2018-19 on its online portal.
The vacancy list includes the number of general category seats available in colleges after the completion of round 2. Students seeking admission in the next round can refer to the vacancy and cut-off lists before selecting their new set of preferred colleges.
Further, per the revised schedule, applicants can start filling the form for Round 3 starting today.
Checking vacancy list online
Students can check the list of vacant seats across Mumbai colleges by following the steps below:

Incidentally, many top colleges like KC, Jai Hind and HR do have seats left in the general category after the Nagpur bench of Bombay High Court barred minority colleges from surrendering quota seats and asked the government to return vacant quota seats back to colleges.
Going forward, any vacant quota seats would be added to the CAP only at the end of the online admission process.
Round 3
Like Round 2, applicants will have the option of selecting a new list of preferred colleges for Round 3.
To apply for a seat in the third round, applicants need to visit the admission portal, log in to their account by clicking the ‘Student Login’ link and edit the list of preferred colleges for Round 3.
Important Dates:
July 24 (6 pm): Deadline for filling admission form for Round 3 (students can edit option form)
July 26 (11 am): Declaration of third general merit list
Note: Students who canceled their admissions in bifocal/centralised rounds or wish to change their stream will be considered directly after the third round.
