Gym trainer turns thief, caught stealing fans of a local train by Kurla RPF

1. A small time fitness trainer, Imran Gaokar was arrested by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) for stealing fans from a local train parked at the Kurla car shed on Sunday.
2. Imran, along with his accomplice, had already unscrewed three fans. While Gaokar were trying to unscrew the fourth fan, two RPF officers, who were patrolling the area, caught him red-handed and took him into custody.
3. Cops also witnessed his aide, Nagraj Shetty, transporting the fans from the local to a car parked near the tracks. They tried chasing Shetty but he dropped the fans and fled the spot.
4. During investigation, it was found that Imran was a trainer in a local gym and often worked as a bouncer. An official investigating the case also added, “He is also known to bully kids in the Kurla shanties to steal from railway premises for him.”
5. Imran was later booked for theft and unlawful possession under section 3 of the Railways Act. He was produced in the court and remanded in police custody till June 8.
