Rickshaw driver shot near Tilak Nagar today

1. An autorickshaw driver was reportedly shot by an unidentified individual near Tilak Nagar on Friday.
2. The incident took place near Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar College around 4 pm when the victim, Salim Sheikh, had stopped to answer nature’s call. While Sheikh was in the act, an unidentified individual shot at him from an black colored car.
3. The bullet hit Sheikh on his shoulder and he was immediately rushed to Kolekar nursing home in Chembur. Sheikh, a resident of Shivajinagar, is currently recuperating at the nursing home.
4. Tilak Nagar police have filed a case under IPC section 307 (attempt to murder) against the unidentified individual.
5. Meanwhile, cops are investigating if the murder was attempted by Sheikh’s enemy and digging his track record to find if he has any criminal record.
