To save kids from sexual predators, city schools to put up CCTV cameras

School children to be safer soon

In a bid to ensure the safety of children in schools, the state government has made it mandatory for all schools to install CCTV cameras on their campus.

As per the order all schools, irrespective of whichever board they are affiliated to and for all mediums, whether government or private, will have to install CCTV cameras in school premise.

The order that came after a court order in this regard has been welcomed by all city schools, except for a few of them that have cited financial restrictions in implementing the order.

However, with the government making it mandatory, the schools will have no option but to install CCTV cameras.
