Video: Major fire breaks out in bungalow near Kino Cottage in Versova
A major fire broke out in a bungalow near Kino Cottage in Mumbai’s Versova area on Thursday morning.
According to preliminary information, the blaze started around 10:30 am in a bungalow located behind Kino Cottage on J.P road at Seven Bungalows in Versova, Andheri West.
The bungalow is believed to be owned by Kino Cottage, a popular party destination in the city, and located on Rock Beach.
Fire department was alerted about the incident around 10:45 am. At least four fire engines and four water tankers were pressed into service and fire fighting was underway as of 11:30 am.
The level II blaze was restricted to the ground plus one structure which, apart from the security personnel, was empty.
So far, no casualties have been reported and the cause of fire is not known.
Traffic on J.P Road has been affected and traffic police are trying to divert vehicles via Yari Road and Harminder Singh Road.
