In yet another case of mob justice, a techie was tied to an electric pole and thrashed by locals in Bengaluru for allegedly stalking a woman and passing lewd comments on her.

The incident took place on Friday morning when the 25-year-old woman was on the way to her office. She noticed the accused, identified as Shri Ramamurthy, following her and heard him making objectionable remarks on her. That’s when the woman alerted her husband, who along with a few friends confronted Ramamurthy.

Instead of informing the police, the mob took the law into their own hands. Ramamurthy, tied to a pole, was beaten up black and blue by the locals.

It has been found out that Sri Ramamurthy works for a private firm, is married and has two children. It is alleged that he has continuously been stalking the lady on his way to work.

According to reports, Ramamurthy’s family requested the woman not to file a police complaint and so she didn’t.

However, Ramamurthy was given an option to file a case against the woman’s husband and the mob. But the techie refrained from doing so.
