
Pics: Ladies coach of CR local gets a stunning makeover


Both first and second class ladies compartments were of a CR local were given a makeover
Apart from focusing on addressing service related issues like punctuality and safety, Central Railway is also trying to woo commuters by offering a more visually appealing and pleasant experience during their daily commute.
In line with its mission, a team of CR’s in-house artists have given a complete makeover to the first and second class ladies compartments of a local train on a pilot basis.

The coaches were painted by painted by CR’s in-house artists Chandu Aguru and Amol Dabhaded
The coach, reportedly painted by Chandu Aguru and Amol Dabhaded at CR’s Matunga workshop, now sports a fine artwork and brightly coloured interiors.
While female commuters will be the first ones to experience the new coach, other compartments are likely to get a similar makeover soon.

The new coach will be inducted into service in the coming days.
Indian Railways’ recent beautifications efforts also earned them praise from United Nations, who took to their Twitter account earlier this week to praise the Madhubani art adorning an Indian Railways coach.

Bihar Sampark Kranti Express, Jansadharan Express, and Rajdhani Express are among the trains being painted with the beautiful traditional art form from Bihar.
