33-year-old morphs woman’s picture and uploads on porn sites after she declines his friend request

1. Bangur Nagar police arrested a 33-year-old man on Tuesday for allegedly morphing a picture of an astrologer’s face on a pornstar’s body.
2. The accused, Sachin Vadhwa, allegedly photoshopped the 47-year-old astrologer’s face on that of a nude woman and sent the picture to the former’s Facebook friends. The photos were also uploaded on pornographic websites.
3. When the victim’s friends informed her about the pictures, she contacted Vadhwa who demanded Rs. 20,000 from her. The victim knew that Vadhwa would continue demanding money if she gave in to his blackmail. Therefore, she approached the cyber-crime cell at Bandra and lodged a complaint.
4. In her complaint, she mentioned that Vadhwa had earlier sent her a friend request on Facebook, which she had declined. She believed that the accused morphed her pictures and sent it to her friends out of spite.
5. During investigation, cops managed to trace Vadhwa’s location to Haryana using his IP address. Bangur Nagar police arrested him from there and booked him under sections 385, 500 and 506 of the IPC and 67 of the IT Act of 2000. Cops believe that Vadhwa has pulled a similar stunt with other women as well.
