7 months after Pratyusha’s suicide, shocking details of last call to boyfriend Rahul Raj surface

More than seven months after ‘Balika Vadhu’ actress Pratyusha Banerjee was found hanging from the ceiling of her Goregaon apartment, details of her last call with boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh have surfaced.

Following Pratyusha’s death, her parents Soma and Shankar had blamed her boyfriend for their daughter’s suicide. Rahul was subsequently booked for abetting the suicide, but was later released on bail.

Mumbai Mirror gained access to a copy of the transcript of the telephone call, which is the last time the actress spoke to anyone, according to her parent’s lawyer Neeraj Gupta.

According to the report, in the three-minute call just before her death, Pratyusha is reported to have said, “”B******d man.. I f**k so hard.. In my life i f**k so hard… for everything… I had not come here to sell myself… I had come here to act… to work. And where are you putting me today.. Rahul, you have no idea how bad I am feeling right now.”

Neeraj Gupta, who is also in possession of the call recording, said,

“This conversation happened between Rahul and Pratyusha just before her death. In this conversation, it is very clear that she was forced into prostitution by Rahul, as later on in the same phone call she has used the word ‘prostitution’.”

According to the Mirror report, she further says, “…You are selfish… you are spoiling my name. People are talking about me… my mom and dad are termed ghatiya.”

Towards the end of the conversation, Pratyusha is also heard saying, “Rahul, it’s over. I am over. Mar gayi mein (I am dead)”.

Rahul tries to convince Pratyusha not to take any unnecessary step and assures her that he would reach her place in the next 30 minutes, to which she responds, “Everything will be over in half an hour.”

Gupta also criticized the police for their investigation process and is contemplating on filing an application for reinvestigation of the case.

Rahul, meanwhile, has said that the transcripts do not reveal anything that is not known. “She was telling me that her mom and dad wanted her to earn money anyhow, and she was complaining about them,” he said.

He further claimed that Pratyusha’s parents and friends have falsely accused him of using her money. “She had no work. I was supporting her,” Rahul said.

Rahul had found Pratyusha hanging from a ceiling fan at around 4 am on April 1.
