A Mumbai police constable’s son allegedly committed suicide at his residence in suburban Jogeshwari on Tuesday.
The deceased, identified as Bhushan Wagh, was found hanging from the ceiling of his room at around 12:15 pm today.
According to Pandurang Patil, senior inspector of Meghwadi police station, officials reached the spot after being notified about the incident and rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.
The 28-year-old’s father, Rajesh Wagh, is a constable posted at the Jogeshwari police station. Since no suicide note was found, police have initiated a probe to ascertain what led Bhushan to take the extreme step.
