Buffalo falls in open drain at Kandivali, rescued
After a long and tedious rescue operation, a buffalo trapped in a drain in Mumbai’s Kandivali West area was safely rescued early morning on Wednesday.
According to reports, the buffalo fell into the drain around 6:30 am today as the slabs of the drain were open. After being alerted about the trapped animal, a team from Mumbai Fire Brigade was dispatched to the spot.

Mumbai witnessed incessant rainfall over the last two days, bringing the city to an abrupt halt. It recorded the second highest rainfall in the last 45 years on Tuesday.
The downpour caused several accidents, including the Malad wall collapse that claimed the life of 24 people. Besides, several subways and roads were also shut due to water logging and flooding.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), more rain is predicted between July 3 and 5 with close to 200 mm or more rain expected per day.
