Thousands travel via AC local since launch, some without a ticket

Mumbai’s first AC local has become an instant hit with commuters with thousands flocking to ride the train since its launch on Monday.

Statistics (Monday & Tuesday):

* Around 2,000 people have traveled via the AC local since its inaugural run.
* WR sold around 750 tickets in the first two days.
* The sale of passes and tickets has earned WR almost Rs 1.6 lakh.
* At least 11 people have been caught for ticket-less travel and paid Rs 4,145 in fines.
